Privacy notice
This notice covers the personal data this website collects, which is only what you enter in the request-access form. crucible, the desktop app, runs on your own machine; the crucible page describes how it handles your work.
Who we are
Basanos Ltd (company number 17488496), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, is the controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: hello@basanos.io.
What we collect, and why
The only personal data this site collects is what you enter in the request-access form: your name, email, and (optionally) your company. We use it solely to respond to your access request and correspond with you about it. No marketing lists, no profiling, no automated decisions.
Lawful basis
Legitimate interests: responding to an enquiry you chose to send us. Where your request relates to buying or trialling crucible, we also process it to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
Who processes it
The form is handled by Formspree (form processor, United States); the site is hosted on Cloudflare. Both process data on our behalf under data-processing terms.
International transfer
Because Formspree (US) and Cloudflare operate outside the UK, your form data is transferred internationally. Where that happens it is protected by appropriate safeguards: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the SCCs, or an adequacy mechanism such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Ask us for details.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and delete them within 12 months of the enquiry closing, unless it becomes an ongoing customer relationship.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your data, and object to our processing: email hello@basanos.io. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google and your IP is visible to Google for that request.
Changes
We will update and date this notice if our processing changes. Last updated: 7 October 2026.
